TIMES THEY ARE A…. CHANGING

We know this is so true for AAPC. The major changes began back when the question of State Licensure was on the table.  This was followed up by the decision that AAPC needed to make about whether to continue the Certification Process. And then came the decision to close the Association office and end having paid administrators.  That was then followed by the decision to approach ACPE and explore the possibility of a working relationship with them.   (read more).

As our regional membership prepares to vote on dissolving AAPC to merge with ACPE, this brief report intends to inform you of:

  • the bank balance of our regional account following our regional conference in November 2018.
  • plans for transferring these funds upon association approval of the dissolution and merger. 

At the end of November 2018, the bank balance of our regional account was $15,064.47.  A vote to dissolve AAPC and merge with ACPE will reflect a vote to transfer these funds to our new professional home for operating expenses and additional investments to support our mission of:

  • providing spiritually integrated psychotherapy.
  • training new providers to offer these services.

The C. G. Jung Institute of Seattle and the Washington Pastoral Counseling Association are co-sponsoring this national Jungian conference for depth-oriented professionals longing to foster the central presence of soul in profession and vocation.

Our major presenters are the celebrated Jungian analyst Ann Belford Ulanovand renowned theologian Matthew Foxwho provide an elegant Care of Souls plenary leadership. Ulanov has detailed her sustained interest in Jungian inquiries into soul through decades of writing, teaching, and clinical inquiry. Fox specializes in one of Jung’s favorite care of souls mystics—Meister Eckhart.

Participants can earn up to 18.5 CEUs, choosing between more than 30 extraordinary accompanying presentations on a wide variety of Care of Souls themes in family therapy, naturopathy, disability, end-of-life, youth, gender, sexuality, ethics, law, medicine, philosophy, alchemy, self-care, poesy, beauty, Kundalini, mysticism, ecology, psychedelics, yoga, and more.

To anchor all this in the poetic and contemplative body-psyche, acclaimed international poet David Whytewill give a performance the evening of February 23. In addition, practitioners of a variety of ancient spiritual traditions will offer brief mindfulness moments before each major plenary session.
