Several years ago, several of our Northwest AAPC folks called us together around the question, is this a wake or a rebirth?  We made the decision that it would be a rebirth.  We have had two Fall Conferences, for which I am thankful.  This indicates that we are not dead.  That is the good news.  But, we are not growing.  That is the bad news. Our membership here in the Northwest is 70 and Association Membership is under 1000. (read more). 

A Trifocal Lens for a Pastoral Vision

This autumn, I am scheduled to teach the Pastoral Care course for the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program at the University of Portland for the third time in five years.  This summer, I decided to review additional texts with which to update my reading list for the class.  I began by searching Amazon books and felt excited to find a title written by Dr. Carrie Doehring, PhD, Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado.  Dr. Doehring has agreed to serve as the presenter for our annual fall regional conference on November 9th and 10th, 2018.   (read more)
